Building in El Salvador

Hey 1MISSION supporters! Last January I was in El Salvador building homes with our field partner ENLACE alongside local families in the Santa Ana community in the far western part of the country. So far, we’ve built 42 houses in this community for families that have earned them.

My favorite part of this trip was the opportunity to work with these families and neighbors, and to see the pride and dignity they have about what they’ve accomplished. Then to see the joy on their faces when they get the keys to their very own home – that’s the best part of my job.

On this trip I was reminded what a great honor it is to be invited into these joyful moments in people’s lives. Check out my video journal of the trip!
