Dayanna: Seven Years Later

Seven years ago, our team interviewed 11-year-old Dayanna.

Her family had recently moved into a safe, secure house after serving hundreds of hours in a nearby community garden. At the time, Dayanna dreamed of becoming a lawyer. Now that they were living in a safe, secure house, her parents were making further sacrifices to prioritize education for their children.

Recently, we sat down with her again to see how she’s doing. Check out the video above to see for yourself!

Stories like Dayanna’s remind us that hopes and dreams are worth investing in. So on behalf of our team and the families we serve, thank you for your partnership!

Together, we’re building community—and investing in dreams—one house at a time.
