1MISSION is committed to providing a safe and rewarding short-term mission trip experience that honors local stakeholders and provides positive, healthy outcomes for the community where you will serve.

As a community development organization, we provide housing for people living without safe, secure shelter. With this approach, housing is a catalyst to long-term development—something that is essential to poverty alleviation.

We're focused on connecting people to people, not people to projects. As a trip participant, you will work alongside a local family and other community members to build a house. You’ll work with them, not for them. By the time your group arrives, this family will have already served hundreds of hours in their community, using their gifts and talents to create opportunities for their families and neighbors.

Once you arrive at our basecamp in Puerto Peñasco, Mexico we will provide you with a place to stay, food and water, medical insurance, and all the tools and materials you need to construct the house.

You don’t need to have any construction experience. Our house model is designed to be built by people of all ages and backgrounds—and our local construction crew is always on hand to answer questions and lend their expertise.
